Then his face emerged from the water and he gasped for air before going under again. Without any warning the currents horrific speed sent his body around a sharp bend. QUOTE OF THE DAY: TRY TO HELP ONE PERSON EACH DAY!—BOOK 4–CHAPTER 48–The vast acres of land Rose owned made her heart swell up in her chest at times. The bank in Oklahoma City was growing rapidly. John Fitzpatrick had made a visit to the Higgins’ Library. Joseph had owned one-half of the bank in Oklahoma City and now it also belonged to Rose. John had walked into the library unannounced and surprised Rose. He had entered quietly. Rose had her back turned busily putting books away. She turned and he smiled at her. She couldn’t help but think back when she was only seventeen years old. Rose had arrived here lonely, hungry and with only one dress, the dress she was wearing. She had not wanted to come here. Her father had sent her without asking if she would like to go. www,collmannwarehouse.com Also on Amazon/Kindle and Barnes & Noble “NOOK”
QUOTE OF THE DAY: “MY DREAM”–MAKING THE “ROSE DONLIN” SERIES INTO A MOVIE! Please all Iowa-call the Iowa Public Broadcasting andhttps://phyllisacollmann.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit-tags.php?taxonomy=category tell them about the 8 books of the Pioneer Series. CHAPTER 3 PAGE 11–The room had only one window. The frame and window were not straight. It was lower on one side. The glass was cracked. It had no curtain and probably never had one. The ceiling of the room was the rafters. The floor had several holes leading under the cabin. Rose knew that she had to close up the holes, because they were large enough for rodents or snakes to enter. Rose closed her eyes for a minute and remembered the bed-room she had been forced to leave in Missouri. The walls were nice and smooth, curtains hung on the windows, and she had rugs on the floor that her mother had made from scraps of material. Little tears squeezed out of her eyes and ran down her cheeks. Continued tomorrow!
